The Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa located in Birmingham, Alabama resembles a modern day castle as it rises majestically from the landscaped grounds and tour championship golf course which surround the hotel.
The 262-room hotel has a warm and rich design accented with nostalgic nuances. The focal point of the hotel lobby is a dramatic stacked stone fireplace with a hammered bronze facade reminiscent of Birmingham’s arts and crafts period. The color scheme for the hotel was taken from an authentic arts and crafts fabric dating back to the 1920’s.
The resort houses an 10,000 square foot ballroom, 15 meeting rooms, a distinctive board room and state-of-the-art amenities. The design work also includes a luxurious 13,000 square foot spa and a golf clubhouse. The hotel was voted the top new Renaissance Hotel for North America in 2005. It was listed in the Travel and Leisure magazine list of the 500 top hotels in the world.
Design Directions International created an interior that combines Birmingham’s proud industrial past, its rich arts and crafts tradition and the city’s modern progressive new spirit. The Ross Bridge resort is now one of Alabama’s signature destinations.
